50 Computers were donated by Alachua School Board in 1994. The computers were airlifted from Gainesville Florida to New York before been shipped to Nigeria. All expenses were paid by the Consulate Office of Nigeria in New York. Thanks for the favor received from The Education Attaché of Nigeria.
2004 Shipment to Akwa Ibom.
Group of Students from University of Florida in Gainesville loaded the 2004 shipment. This was our second ocean freight container (20′ X 8′ X 8.5′) to Akwa-Ibom State, Nigeria. The books were donated by Alachua School Board, Florida Book Store, Book-A-Million, Barnes & Noble Book Store, Gator Textbooks Inc and Friends of the Library Alachua.
